NO2個問題 樓上已經答左

H2O:
因為O 係sp3 hybridization
所以有4個完全相同sp3
四個sp3會以tetrahedral既樣擺出黎
而H2O既兩個lone pairs of electrons會用左擺兩個頂點
但兩個H 就會放喺tetrahedral既底部兩點
而 ...

即係所有atom form bond果陣都會做hybridization?
因為我見oxygen 2s個orbital full左 以為佢唔會做嫁添-.-

e.g. diatomic molecules 入面既atoms
H2既H 冇做hybridization

至於CO2既C係sp
因為C (excited state)
2s   2p
↑|↑|↑|↑|

只需要同兩個atoms form sigma bond(O)
所以只需要1個2s 同1個2p 做hybridization
1個 2s + 1個 2p -> 2個 完全相同既sp
而淨返個兩個p orbital 就分別同左右兩邊既O form pi bond

not good to say NO2 unstable, NO2 exists with N2O4 in eqm, relative stability depends on pressure, temperature, etc.

why NO2 can't be octet, things adopt most stable form in a given condition, there is no way NO2 can have octet.

C in CO2 sp hybridizes, correct;
triple bond sp hybridizes leading to 2 sigma 2pi, not correct, let say N2, 2 lone pair, 1 sigma, and 2 pi.
