我已經有幾個月無上過英文堂 個老師成日請假比人炒左- -
跟住無人黎頂佢- -堂堂自讀...
講真 就算肥左1份但係d到都唔想 因為我想令d...
不過最大障礙就係listening同reading...
因為呢2份我都搵唔到方向
而writing就真係唔錯grammar 結構ok就夠~_~oral未練過唔知啦
practical skill 都係 搵唔到一個好好既方法 雖然話就話唔係考英文 咁就姐係考技巧
技巧無人教~_~

In 1763, a confederation of Indian tribes laid siege to Fort Pitt, a British-held post in western Pennsylvania. A leader of the Delaware Indians, Turtle's Heart, visited the fort for a meeting with the British. He said a vast Indian army had already overwhelmed the countryside, but the Delawares could offer the British protection if they would abandon the fort.
The British refused, but thanked the Indians profusely for their concern. Then, "out of our regard to them, we gave them two blankets and a handkerchief out of the Smallpox Hospital. I hope it will have the desired effect," wrote a British trader in his diary.
Before long, a smallpox epidemic struck hard among the Indians surrounding Fort Pitt, killing many of them.

不 久 ， 圍 攻 庇 特 堡 的 印 第 安 人 之 間 爆 發 嚴 重 天 花 疫 症 ， 死 者 甚 眾 。
〔 附 注 〕 德 拉 威 州 （ Delaware ） 是 今 日 美 國 最 小 的 一 州 ， 其 名 來 自 維 吉 尼 亞 （ Virginia ） 第 一 任 總 督 De La Warr 。

In 1346, the Tartar army besieged the city of Kaffa, which is today's Feodosia in the Ukraine. They made use of an outbreak of the bubonic plague among their own troops by catapulting bodies of plague victims over the walls of Kaffa in an attempt to initiate an epidemic in the city.
The bubonic plague is primarily a disease of rats and other rodents, and the bites of the fleas on rats can transmit the disease to humans. Most probably, travelling on their hosts, the fleas also found their way into Kaffa.
The defenders subsequently contracted the disease and the city fell to the Tartars.
一三 四 六 年 ， 韃 靼 軍 隊 圍 攻 卡 夫 法 城 ， 即 今 日 烏 克 蘭 的 費 奧 多 西 亞 市 。 他 們 利 用 軍 中爆 發 的 黑 死 病 ， 以 彈 弩 把 病 死 者 屍 體 投 進 卡 夫 法 城 ， 務 求 疫 病 傳 到 城 中 。
黑 死 病 主 要 是 老 鼠 和 其 他 齧 齒 動 物 的 疾 病 。 老 鼠 身 上 的 跳 蚤 ， 可 以 把 這 疾 病 傳 給 牠 們 咬 過 的 人 。 跳 蚤 當 年 很 可 能 跟 老 鼠 ， 也 進 入 了 卡 夫 法 城 。
卡 夫 法 守 衞 者 終 於 染 上 黑 死 病 ， 卡 夫 法 就 落 入 韃 靼 人 手 中 。
【附 注 】 跳 蚤 咬 人 ， 多 在 雙 腿 ， 所 以 黑 死 病 徵 一 般 先 在 腹 股 溝 出 現 ， 是 為 腹 股 溝 淋 巴結 炎 。 腹 股 溝 淋 巴 結 炎 英 文 叫 bubo ， 這 就 是 bubonic plague 名 字 的 由 來 。 又 由 於病 者 四 肢 會 因 壞 疽 （ gangrene ） 而 變 黑 ， bubonic plague 英 文 又 稱 Black Death 。 中 世 紀 歐 洲 死 於 這 疫 病 的 人 以 百 萬 計 。
