MechScape is Jagex’s upcoming sci-fiMMORPG which they have been working on since 2006 and expect to releasethis year. The game is based on the RuneScape engine and will bebrowser based, but will be a few steps ahead of RuneScape in terms oftechnology. Jagex currently have 70 staff working on the game and ithas been described as a “very, very big investment”. While it is aimedat an older audience, Jagex claims it will “appeal to everyone who isinterested in Science Fiction”.
