When you are listening english song,you must find out the words of a song.Then,
you can learn how to speak the words and how to use the words.
About composition,you may learn more vocabulary that will make your article more plentiful.

vocabularies are important for composition, also you should learn more sentence structures.

Try to listen some slower songs, such as American folk songs.
And try to guess the lyrics. I think this can significantly improve your english sentense structure. If you want to learn more vocabulary, try some pop songs such as rock'n'roll.
Sometimes they just have plenty of words that you've never seen.

I think listening to english songs is the most effective way for learning english ,
because you could get more and more vocabularies while you are searching lyric of songs , meanwhile , when you do so , you could be interested in english easily .

I don't think listen to english songs can improve english, the word in the song are always not a complete sentances, they are just some meaningful words......u did learn some vocabs from the song, but not english........beside, I think watching television is a kind of good way to improve english, they always have words at the bottom, and while you listen, u can learn at the same time, it will be easlier to understand the meanings of words......

Yeah playing runescape is an excellent way of learning English.
I play it also.
Though the graphics are a bit disappointing.

good way to learn vocab and informal english
provided that you know some basic english knowledage like sentance structure

if you wanna boost your composition
try tutorial classes or ready newspaper
coz most books and songs aren't formal enough to meet the EAA requirment

Playing English games can not only broaden your horizon, but also learn about loads of vocabularies (provided that you have the patience).
However, I don't think it is a good way to improve in grammar because not every foreign people follow grammatical rules...
Also, you may browse English-based forums on the games to improve your English even further
Note: actually, most of the vocabularies you learn from English games cannot be used in daily lives, unless you write imaginative writing in composition
