what's the use of reading english newspaper?

Teachers always encourage us to read more articles from newspaper
but i found the words there are too difficult and hard to be memorized
i cant learn anythings concrete there which is related to my english study

    yeah i think so. reading books that are suitable to one's level is better than reading articles from newspaper

    But for the examination , some sentence structure from newspaper is definitely good

as well as most examiner like it.
