waterfiend is the best non-money-burning method, u can earn money there coz they drop a lot of items, u can sell them and buy runes to burst lobs
due to surging price of runes, now bursting lobs is way more cost effective than barrage of lobs
here r some figures from my own exp:
1 trip of 3k barrage shots => 1.1k crim
1 trip of 3k burst shots => 750-850 crim
currently, 1 trip of 3k burst cost around 4302k, of coz u also need blood burst, pray pot etc.
