Actually, in A-level , the definition of water potential is : pressure potential + solute potential
when u are studying in Turgor and Plasmolysis , you will know the real meaning to account for this. Or u can ask your teacher about  "pressure potential + solute potential = water potential " ,  she may know wt i am talking about
