for the last question, the right one should not bend as the mica plate is assumed to place through the region of elongation, hence, wiht the plate, auxin could not move laternally but straight down leading to vertical growth of the plant.
it is easy to known that if the auxin would be degraded, just that, if it is really destroyed then the right picture would be the case of bending, while through experiment it's not the case.
